An extrication collar is a specific type of cervical collar used to immobilize the spine after a potentially serious injury caused by, for example, a car accident or a collision on the playing field. In other words, the injured person can be safely extricated from whatever calamity has befallen him so he can be transported to medical care.
- “No-neck” collar is for those individuals whose shortness of neck or weight make them appear to have no neck
- Provides motion restriction without hyperextension or limiting access to airway
- Has an oversized tracheal opening that enables pulse checks and advanced airway procedures
- Stores flat for storage
